Schreiner ProTech, a Germany-based manufacturer of innovative functional labels with value-added benefits for the automotive and engineering-based industries, has introduced specialized protection films for the oversized, intricately-shaped console displays increasingly common in modern vehicles. Notably, the new film solutions do not employ adhesives, but rather a novel coating that enables outstanding adhesion and simple, homogeneous peel-off – even when applied to large, geometrically complex surfaces like the pillar-to-pillar consoles frequently utilized in today’s vehicles.

With both the surface area and overall number of vehicles consoles growing ever larger, automotive components manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) are seeking solutions that protect sensitive displays from fingerprints, scratches and impacts without leaving unattractive residues upon their removal. Schreiner ProTech’s new range of protective films is designed to address these needs by combining premium protection with well-preserved aesthetics, helping ensure pristine delivery to end customers.

Schreiner ProTech’s new protection film offers other advantages as well. For instance, the film’s anti-static properties prevent problematic charging, making it particularly well-suited to sensitive electrical components. Since the film is imprintable and laserable, it also can be used for explicit markings or information printed directly on the film. In addition, the solution’s high transparency allows easy display inspections without the need for film removal.
