LemuGroup continues to consolidate its presence in the competitive US market. This market represents an environment dominated by large multinationals that require highly productive solutions, advanced automation, and agile and responsive technical support.

Aware of this reality, LemuGroup has taken a key strategic step with the integration of Converting Equipment International (CEI), marking LemuGroups first production plant in the United States. This addition reinforces LemuGroup’s ability to offer faster technical service, more efficient parts supply, and solid local support to customers across the country.

“Converters need partners who can respond quickly and deliver complete solutions,” says CEI’s Simon Gross. “This alliance with LemuGroup gives our North American customers faster access to global technology while opening new doors for CEI equipment and expertise abroad.”

Located at the gateway to Glacier National Park in Montana, CEI manufactures slitter-rewinders and other high-speed equipment such as RFID insertion and programming, diecutters, digital finishers, and hybrid presses.

CEI’s equipment is used in virtually every sector that uses labels, from food and beverages, packaging, medicine, pharmacy, nutraceuticals, fuel cells, solar cells, to digital markets. CEI produces modular equipment for the narrow web industry. One of the most notable developments is the CEI BossJet, which is equipped with digital technology. This solution has marked a turning point in label production. The system integrates digital inkjet printing with high-quality embellishment, conversion, and finishing processes in a single pass. The result: maximum productivity, lower operating costs, and a fast return on investment, ideal for short and medium runs.

LemuGroup’s growth

The Kalispell, MT, plant not only manufactures state-of-the-art equipment but also has its own machining facilities. This allows LemuGroup to offer agile logistics and immediate response times throughout the United States, minimizing wait times and maximizing operational continuity for all customers of LemuGroup.

“Our goal is to build lasting partnerships that help converters compete worldwide,” states LemuGroup’s Iñaki Larrea. “With CEI now integrated into LemuGroup, we are building a bridge between North America and the rest of the world that ensures customers benefit from both local support and global innovation.”

With this addition, LemuGroup now has five production plants – one in the United States and four in Europe. LemuGroup also boasts two key commercial and technical offices: LemuGroup USA and LemuGroup Headquarters.

“Our vision is clear, to continue growing and offering our US customers the highest quality, innovation and proximity,” states LemuGroup.
