With immediate effect, GEW will be represented for its Sheetfed, Label and Narrow Web business across Egypt, Libya, and Sudan by IPS for Chemical Trading and Printing Raw Materials (IPS). The Cairo-based company was founded in 2014 by the Sidhom family, who are leaders and respected members of the printing community in Egypt.

Ramy George now leads IPS as general manager. He boasts more than over 15 years of experience in business management.

IPS represents several global brands across a range of specialisms, including Bobst, Riefenhäuser, and Rossini. IPS focuses on serving the printing, packaging, and plastics industry. With decades of experience in flexible packaging, plastics and sheetfed applications, IPS provides turnkey solutions to its clients.

Ramy George says, “We are aligned with GEW in so many ways. At IPS, we prioritize collaboration and long-term partnerships with our customers, fostering trust in every relationship. Our approach is centered on working closely with clients to provide solutions that drive their success. As a service-led company, we are committed to dependability, innovation, and reliability. From addressing our customers’ initial needs to providing first class after-sales support and maintenance, we share the same core values as GEW.”

David Lyus, international sales manager for GEW, adds, “IPS are ideally placed to develop GEW’s profile here as they already represent Bobst flexo presses and several other key suppliers to the industry. They also have a well-established team of experienced salespeople and technicians in place. We are excited to work with Ramy and his team at IPS to better support our existing customers and develop new opportunities in and around Egypt.”
