Jindal Films Europe (JFE), a manufacturer of specialty films, is reinforcing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth in Europe with a significant investment in its Brindisi site in Italy. The new 10 meter Orienter line, currently under construction by Bruckner, represents a major step forward in production capacity, technological capability, and sustainability.Once operational, in the second half of 2026, this new Orienter line will increase the Brindisi site’s annualproduction capacity, making it one of the largest film production sites in Europe. The hybrid Orienter lineis designed to process both polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) materials, enabling the productionof a broad portfolio of specialty films, including BOPE Ethy-Lyte, in-mold label (IML), tobacco, label andflexible packaging films. With this expansion, Brindisi will play a key role in supplying JFE’s customers across Europe, America, and Asia, reinforcing its position as a major production hub within the company’s global network.“This new line is a cornerstone of our strategy to strengthen our European footprint and expand our capabilities with the latest technology, highlighting our commitment to serve our customers with the most advanced and versatile production technology available,” says Gilbert Davids, CEO, JFE. “This latest investment will allow us to respond faster to market demands, support our customers’ evolving needs, and further our efforts to develop sustainable packaging solutions.”As part of JFE’s strong network of production sites, Brindisi continues to build on its technical expertise and commitment to quality and sustainability. In addition to the new Orienter, the Brindisi site is equipped with advanced metallizing and coating technologies, capable of processing the latest BOPE and BOPP film grades – including ultra-high barrier (Alox and high optical density) films – and applying innovative coatings on substrates up to 12 microns (μm). These complementary capabilities further enhance the company’s collective ability to deliver innovative, high performance and reliable film solutions for customers worldwide.
