Flexo Wash, a provider of automated cleaning solutions for the flexographic and converting industries, has launched the updated FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner. The new product serves as the next generation of Flexo Wash’s laser anilox cleaning line.

Flexo Wash has designed the unit specifically for the demands of pressrooms across the globe. The FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner delivers a new standard in precision, safety, and ease of use for flexographic printers.

The FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner introduces a series of significant engineering advances over Flexo Wash’s previous laser models. These include a new Galvo-based scanning system, upgraded motion control, tool-free roll loading, and an optional integrated microscope for automated cell inspection.

“The FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner takes everything our customers have come to rely on and raises the bar across the board,” states Patrick Potter, president, Flexo Wash. “This machine represents a major step forward for Flexo Wash and for our customers around the world. It’s faster, smarter, safer, and easier to operate than anything we’ve brought to market before. We’re excited to show the industry what it can do.”

The FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner is available now and configurable to customer specifications.

New Features and Capabilities

Easy Access and Tool-Free Operation. A redesigned cabinet allows operators to load and position anilox rolls without tools or complex fixation. This reduces setup time and simplifies day-to-day operation.

Integrated Microscope and Automated Inspection. An optional internal camera and microscope provide live on-screen visibility into the cleaning process. They also enable automated 3D cell inspections, ensuring the correct cleaning intensity for every roll. The microscope measures cell volume, then the software takes the readings and determines the proper cleaning cycle to run. It is truly automated, taking the decision out of the operator’s hands.

CleanLink Inventory Management. CleanLink enables full roll traceability via RFID, barcode reader, or USB import/export, giving pressrooms a complete cleaning history and precise inventory control.

Galvo Scanner Technology. The FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner uses a high-speed Galvo scanning system in place of traditional direct-laser architecture, delivering faster, more consistent cleaning while protecting anilox rolls from mechanical wear.

Industrial-Grade Air Filtration. A fully enclosed three-stage filtration system (including HEPA, Active Carbon, and an integrated Spark Arrestor) is built into the machine for continuous heavy-duty use. The FW LaserX 2000 Anilox Cleaner carries a Class 1 laser safety rating and requires no dedicated ventilation or additional safety infrastructure.

Collision Detection. Onboard sensors prevent the laser head or extraction unit from contacting the anilox roll during operation, protecting both the machine and the roll.
