Canon U.S.A., Inc. has unveiled a strengthened Americas-wide production print strategy aimed at accelerating digital print adoption across commercial, industrial, and packaging markets.

The initiative includes the formation of a new Canon Americas Production Print leadership team designed to better align strategy, investment, and customer support across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

The team will be led by Peter Kowalczuk, executive vice president and president of the Client Services Group at Canon U.S.A., alongside Rob Reddy, senior vice president of Production Print Solutions Sales; Dan Verley, senior vice president of Large Format Sales; and Katsuhiro “Jerry” Matsufuji, vice president of Sales Planning, Strategy, and Business Development.

Canon says the structure is intended to strengthen coordination across its production print portfolio while helping customers expand digital operations in areas such as commercial printing, direct mail, book production, wide-format graphics, and label and packaging applications.

“Digital production printing remains a critical growth engine for our customers and for Canon,” says Kowalczuk. “Our focus is on helping customers modernize operations, capture new application opportunities, and drive long-term profitability.”

The strategy places continued emphasis on Canon’s latest generation of production inkjet systems, including the varioPRESS iV7, varioPRINT iX1700, Colorado XL series, and the LabelStream LS2000 digital label press.

Canon says adoption of high-volume inkjet continues to grow as printers invest in digital platforms to support shorter runs, versioning, personalization, and automated workflows. The company was recently named a Leader in high-volume inkjet in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide High-Speed Inkjet Vendor Assessment.

Beyond equipment, Canon highlighted expanded service and training initiatives, including a new Service Training Facility in Boca Raton, Florida, aimed at strengthening technical support capabilities across the Americas.

The company also continues to engage with the industry through events such as PRINTING United Expo, Inkjet Summit, and Loupe America, the event formerly known as Labelexpo Americas.
