Domino has announced that Adem Kulauzovic, the company’s director of automation and integration, has been appointed to the board of directors of OMAC (the Organization for Machine Automation and Control).

Kulauzovic will serve a three-year term, reinforcing Domino’s commitment to advancing packaging automation through collaboration, innovation and standards development. The appointment supports the company’s broader strategy around customer-focused innovation and helping manufacturers navigate increasingly complex regulatory and technological requirements.

In his first board-level role, Kulauzovic will help guide OMAC’s strategic initiatives, including training investment, membership growth and updates to key standards — with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity resilience.

“I’m honored to join the OMAC board and help drive forward the standards that underpin our industry,” Kulauzovic says. “As manufacturers increasingly lean on automation and move toward digital transformation, the need for consistent, standardized communication is critical. OMAC provides a platform for collaboration that helps make this possible.”

Kulauzovic will champion efforts related to coding and marking standards, cybersecurity and sustainability, ensuring OMAC members continue to benefit from Domino’s expertise in shaping tools and guidelines that impact the wider packaging ecosystem.

Domino has been an OMAC member since 2017 and has played an active role in the group’s mission to standardize communication, controls and applications across the packaging sector. OMAC’s work brings together CPG companies, OEMs, system integrators and engineering leaders to define and promote best practices.

A key pillar of that work is PackML, the globally recognized automation standard that creates consistent communication between machines and PLCs across platforms.

“Being part of the conversation — whether it’s PackML, cybersecurity or sustainability — means we’re helping shape the standards our customers rely on,” Kulauzovic adds. “It’s about understanding their business, anticipating their needs and delivering tools that move the industry forward.”
