The label and packaging market continues to evolve, requiring multiple SKUs, faster time-to-market, and greater application diversity. In response, HP has unveiled the next evolution of one of its popular presses, the HP Indigo 6K+ digital press.

Based on the performance of the HP Indigo 6K, of which over 2,300 units have been installed globally to date, the HP Indigo 6K+ is engineered to meet the growing needs of the industry. Maintaining the HP standards of quality and versatility, the HP Indigo 6K+ also maximizes productivity through the new SmartControlSystem and intelligent automation tools.

The HP Indigo 6K+ introduces advancements in AI-powered tools, automation, scalability, and press robustness, as well. Designed for maximum uptime, the HP Indigo 6K+ features a future-ready platform enabling converters to stay ahead in a rapidly changing marketplace. The new press will be available globally at the end of July 2025.

Plus, Landa Digital Printing, the Israel-based developer of Nanographic digital printing technology, has filed for court protection as it grapples with significant financial challenges. According to reports in Israeli media, including tech news outlet Ctech, the company is burdened with approximately $516 million in debt and has encountered a critical cash flow shortfall following the abrupt withdrawal of shareholder funding.

The move comes after years of heavy investment and limited commercial return. Founded in 2011 by industry pioneer Benny Landa, the company also introduced its first alpha and beta digital press models in 2017. However, commercial sales only began in earnest in 2022. To date, just over 50 machines have been sold globally.
