HP Indigo has announced a multi-year agreement with Shutterfly that includes the installation of 35 HP Indigo 120K digital presses, marking a significant expansion of the companies’ long-standing relationship.

The deal, unveiled at HP Imagine 2026, builds on more than 25 years of collaboration between the two companies and reflects continued investment in high-volume, industrial-scale digital production. The first phase of installations is scheduled for 2026.

As part of the agreement, Shutterfly will upgrade its existing fleet of HP Indigo B2 presses to the HP Indigo 120K platform, designed for nonstop digital production environments. The press features advanced automation, predictive diagnostics, and quality management tools aimed at maximizing uptime and consistency in 24/7 operations.

“This agreement reflects the depth of our long-standing relationship with Shutterfly,” says Oran Sokol, head of global sales at HP Industrial Print. “It represents one of the most significant fleet-wide investments in digital production and highlights how we continue to advance the industry together.”

Shutterfly says the investment will support continued growth in personalized print production while improving efficiency and quality, particularly during peak demand periods.

“This decision is about positioning Shutterfly for the next phase of growth,” says Dwayne Black, chief operations officer at Shutterfly. “Upgrading our entire fleet will drive meaningful efficiencies and reflects our confidence in the technology and long-term opportunities ahead.”

In addition to press installations, the agreement includes software, services, and consumables, enabling Shutterfly to further integrate HP’s PrintOS platform and workflow automation tools into its production environment.

HP Indigo says the deal underscores the industry’s ongoing shift toward automated, data-driven digital print production, where scalability and efficiency are critical to meeting growing demand for personalization.
