Phoseon Technology touted the benefits of its Nexus ONE UV LED curing systems for labels and packaging at Labelexpo Americas. Visitors to the Phoseon exhibit learned how the Nexus ONE premium UV LED curing lamp delivers maximum power and dose of UV energy for the flexographic and narrow web markets where high performance is a key requirement.

Nexus ONE products offer many benefits to printers and converters, the company says, including the industry’s first five-year warranty for the entire system. Michael Hughes, sales manager at Phoseon, told L&NW that the company saw increased interest in its Nexus ONE, especially as UV LED curing and its benefits were trending on the showfloor.

Phoseon Nexus ONE sustainable products provide energy savings, prevent pollution, and reduce waste. With traditional UV curing processes, the heat associated with mercury UV lamps require a significant amount of electricity to operate. Phoseon UV LED technologies provide energy savings up to 85% compared to traditional mercury-vapor UV lamps. With Phoseon light sources, there is no need for fume extraction units to remove the gases generated by mercury-vapor UV lamps.

Phoseon offers fully integrated solutions for narrow-web printing that include the light sources and the Nexus Tower power and control system. The Nexus Tower provides a configurable power and control system for Phoseon UV LED light sources, providing a complete solution for new installations and retrofit upgrades.
