At Labelexpo Europe 2025, Prati Srl demonstrated that innovation is not only measured in machines, but in mindset. The Italian finishing specialist made a strong statement with two booths — totaling nearly 800 square meters — where nine machines ran live demonstrations, complemented by three additional SATURN units featured at the stands of long-standing technology partners AVT, DecoSystem, and BST.

The company’s presence reflected both technical sophistication and a deep connection with its people and customers. “The investment was truly remarkable,” said Chiara Prati, CEO & CSO of Prati Srl. “We wanted to give ample visibility to our latest solutions, but just as importantly, to share the days of the trade show with our partners, suppliers, customers, and visitors.”

Among the highlights were two product launches: the Jupiter TCWM Wide Format and the DIGIFAST20000. “The two main innovations,” explained Chiara Prati, “are the Jupiter TCWM and the DIGIFAST20000.”

Designed for the food and beverage market, the Jupiter Wide Format makes its debut with a semi-rotary registered diecutting unit capable of performing all converting and finishing processes in a single pass—on both self-adhesive materials and unsupported plastic films.

The DIGIFAST20000, meanwhile, introduces a completely revamped flexo unit with fully automated setup. Thanks to automatic inking, anilox washing, and plate registration, job changeovers are reduced to just 12 minutes. The system handles materials from 12 to 450 microns, ranging from plastic film to cardboard, simply by adjusting two tension settings. “This machine is the only one on the market with these features,” Prati added, “capable of printing and coating even thick materials in semi-rotary mode.”

Prati emphasized that the company’s innovations extend beyond print performance. “Almost all Prati machines are already compliant with the new regulations that will take effect in January 2027,” she said. “They’re safe, energy efficient, and ready for the future—including cybersecurity.”

That forward-looking vision was also evident in the next-generation Saturn platform. The best-selling base model debuted in its ‘Next’ configuration, featuring a fully enclosed design for enhanced operator safety and regulatory compliance. The interface is designed for intuitive use, even by the new generation of “digital native” operators entering the industry.

Service innovation through INNOTECH

At the show, Prati also spotlighted INNOTECH, the company’s new after-sales service concept.
“INNOTECH,” said Chiara Prati, “is Prati’s new after-sales service. We wanted to bring innovation to our service as well, so together with our customer care and tech services teams, we’ve completely digitalized the service for requests for assistance, spare parts, and accessories through the FASTLANE portal.”

FASTLANE offers customers 24/7 access to service and parts requests, automatically routing tickets to the appropriate department. “This streamlines the entire response process,” she continued, “making it faster and ensuring that customers receive direct assistance from the right experts. The entire process is traceable, so you can always check the status of your request. We want after-sales service to be our best product.”

Visitors at Labelexpo were able to experience the system firsthand, with live demonstrations of how quickly a service request could be logged and tracked—an aspect many customers described as a “game changer” in responsiveness and transparency.

The human touch behind the technology

Beyond the machines and software, Prati placed strong emphasis on its people—the “heart” of what the company calls Planet Prati. “At the center of Planet Prati,” said Concetta Daniela Binario, Communication Manager, “the energy of the team could not be missing, involved in a new GALACTIC EXPERIENCE for our visitors.”

As part of a creative team-building initiative, employees selected favorite literary quotes that were turned into bookmarks and new editions of Prati’s “philosophical cards.” The materials were printed by Konica Business Solutions Italia on the AccurioLabel400, and converted on Prati’s DIGI COMPACT finishing unit.

“In this activity we were inspired by the phrase, ‘A child, a teacher, a book and a pen can change the world,’” Binario said, quoting Malala Yousafzai. “There’s even a bookmark that represents Prati People, featuring a quote from Saint Augustine: ‘The measure of love is to love without measure. The world is like a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.’”
