Labelexpo Europe 2025 will take place September 16-19, 2025, at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. After more than four decades in Brussels, 2025 marks a bold new chapter for the event – it is set to be the largest edition in its history. On the pages that follow is a look at some of the products and technologies that will be demonstrated and on display.

UPM Adhesive Materials, formerly known as UPM Raflatac, will present high-quality label solutions that demonstrate leading adhesive material performance. UPM Adhesive Materials offers an array of label materials designed for specific end uses, including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and industrials. It will be using Labelexpo Europe 2025 as a platform to showcase products that deliver reliable performance and a high level of sustainability, and that connect with customer ambitions. Flint Group’s Narrow Web and Digital (Xeikon) divisions are committed to helping converters navigate a complex market shaped by evolving regulations, increasing sustainability demands, and performance expectations. The company will highlight this commitment by presenting technologies that support both environmental targets and operational efficiency. Flint Group’s Narrow Web division will feature FCM (Food Contact Material) inks tailored for the critical demands of food-safe packaging; the Evolution Series – a suite of products that enhance label recyclability and support circular packaging models; and VIVO Colour Solutions, including the new VIVO ColourMatch module for faster brand shade matching. Flint Group’s Digital division’s presence at the Flint Group booth will include the Xeikon LX3000, powered by Xeikon’s Cheetah 3.0 dry toner technology. Featuring the new ECO toners and advanced energy-saving features, this press is said to be a smart choice for short-run and food-safe applications with minimal environmental impact. Also at the show will be the Xeikon PX3300HD, touted as setting new standards for UV inkjet. In addition, the Xeikon TX500 with inline metallization from Kurz will be featured – an industry-first hybrid solution combining dry toner with metallized effects in a single pass, the company states.

Together, these technologies reflect a focus on productivity, automation, and long-term flexibility for converters facing the constantly shifting demands of today’s printed packaging marketplace. Schobertechnologies will demonstrate a Twin Spider setup for its RSM410 IML/MX. The Twin Spider is specially designed for the high-speed diecutting and stacking of in-mold labels (IML). With the Twin Spider setup, the RSM410 IML/MX provides a high-speed, programmable robot-automated stacking and counting system (Spider). The robot delivery is designed in such a way that different products can be stacked with the same print image to save material and production runs. The products are perfectly aligned in stacking magazines, ready for instant banding next to the machine. For short runs, especially in the case of digital printing, Schobertechnologies offers a hybrid rotary vector diecutting system (Varicut) to be format independent. In addition, Schobertechnologies will display punching modules for parking tickets, tea tags and line hole perforations, available in different material combinations, as well as all types of slitting knives, blades, and diecutting cylinders for challenging materials in the world of labels and packaging.

Heidelberg and Gallus will unveil a new chapter in their vision for smart, connected printing with the debut of two new machines, representing an expansion of their portfolio that spans across all market segments and application areas, driving performance for converters regardless of size, market focus, or production challenges. The solutions will enable label converters to scale efficiently, respond rapidly to shifting market demands, and remain competitive in a fast-evolving landscape. Visitors to the Heidelberg and Gallus booths will experience first-hand how, underpinned by Gallus’ System to Compose concept, existing and new innovations launched at the show will enable converters to future-proof their operations. Gallus’ modular solutions are designed to work seamlessly, not just within its own ecosystem but also alongside complementary technology. The booth will feature a robust, unified lineup of technologies and samples, including sheetfed offset innovations for the efficient production of wet glue and in-mold labels, Heidelberg Prinect, Gallus Screeny, Gallus Services, and Gallus Classics.

This press, ideal for short runs and fully customized designs, eliminates the need for plates and enables real-time design changes, drastically reducing time to market. Comexi says its versatility redefines label production for brands that demand immediacy and differentiation. Also in Barcelona will be the Digiflex digital press, specializing in variable code printing for critical applications such as traceability, brand protection, and advanced personalization with QR or data matrix codes. It is a strategic tool for brands seeking smart, secure consumer engagement. In addition, Comexi is reinforcing its leadership in central drum offset printing with the Comexi CI Offset Evolution, touted as a perfect solution for multiple SKUs and short runs that combine outstanding quality with a strong environmental commitment. The technology reduces solvent use and minimizes emissions, providing a sustainable alternative for an increasingly demanding market.

DuPont Cyrel Flexographic Solutions will demonstrate how its entire range of flexo solutions deliver excellence to label converters through innovation and collaboration. The Cyrel FAST 1000 TD system uses dry, thermal technology to process high-quality Cyrel photopolymer plates, eliminating the need for solvent, enabling sustainable flexographic plate processing. In line with today’s focus on operational efficiency, the DuPont Cyrel FAST system can reduce platemaking time by up to 75% while the dry, solvent-free process eliminates the need to handle, distill and dispose of washout fluids. Furthermore, relative to a solvent workflow, VOC emissions are reduced by 99.8%, and the global warming potential is reduced by 48%, minimizing environmental footprint.

AVT (Advanced Vision Technology) will showcase its range of print inspection solutions at Labelexpo in Barcelona, with the renewed flagship AVT Helios taking centerstage. As well as presenting the benefits of inline inspection, the AVT team will demonstrate its workflow automation tools that further accelerate production while reducing errors and eliminating waste. Guy Yogev, VP of product and marketing, says, “Helios is our market-proven, automatic 100% inspection solution for labels and narrow web. Our new product portfolio that we introduced last year resulted in great success and impressive feedback from the market. Minimizing waste and enhancing overall performance is key for our customers, and AVT is continuously working on enhancing value and overall cost reduction to meet these challenges.”

Pantec is presenting new applications with RHINO flatbed technology at Labelexpo Europe 2025. Pantec Schweiz AG develops and manufactures embellishment systems for the packaging industry – adding value to packaging. RHINO flatbed technology is recognized for its precision, efficiency, and the ability to realize complex embellishment effects in just a single pass. Until now, PP labels in the health and beauty sector were almost exclusively reserved for cold foil embellishment, the company says, noting that RHINO flatbed technology breaks through this limitation and opens new embellishment possibilities for sophisticated cosmetics and lifestyle brands. Features include up to 80 tons of embossing force, production speeds of 150 m/m, and intelligent foil handling.

At Labelexpo Europe 2025, Nilpeter will present the next stage of its “The Future is Flexo” vision with two advanced press configurations: a 7-color FA-26 and a 9-color FA-17. While these platforms may be familiar to some, the configurations at the show are radically reimagined and packed with innovation. Visitors can expect a new benchmark in print efficiency, automation, and quality, designed to tackle today’s production challenges head-on, Nilpeter says adding the press lines reduce human interaction to a minimum, accelerate throughput, and deliver exceptional print results, whether for labels or flexible packaging. Driven by real-time OEE data insights and cloud-based job databases, Nilpeter continues to push toward its “Dark Room” vision for fully optimized and automated production environments. A new, interactive demo format will showcase these capabilities across three display screens, including a 5×5 meter LED wall highlighting the Digital Shadow Concept – a full digital visualization of the press in action.

ROTOCON will make its Labelexpo Europe debut, exhibiting together with HS Machinery at booth 4D21. Live demonstrations will feature the CHROME 450 flexo press, the ECOLINE RDF 340 digital printed label converting and finishing machine, and the ECOLINE RSI 540 machine for label slitting, inspection, and rewinding. The ROTOCON CHROME 450 flexo press is touted as a comprehensive solution for flexo printers seeking a blend of modern technology and intuitive operation. With its modular design, printers can invest in performance-enhancing features tailored to their applications and budget. Automation solutions and value-adding modules can be integrated and activated with the press of a button. The CHROME RDF 340 high-speed digital finishing machine will also be demonstrated. Its modular design allows for customized configurations as converters’ needs grow, including hot and cold foil, embossing, multi-layer labels, in-mold labeling, and screen printing.

Hybrid Software will unveil major upgrades to its PACKZ, CLOUDFLOW, and iC3D product lines. The latest innovations focus on accelerating prepress workflows, automating complex label tasks, and enhancing design-to-print accuracy for label and packaging production. Highlights at Labelexpo Europe include PACKZ Max: the PDF editor now integrates Harlequin RIP directly for precise flexo screening, 1-bit TIFF output, and high-quality flexo and offset printing; Packzimizer: an automated ganging and lane planning tool for digital label printing that optimizes layout, minimizes waste, and improves press efficiency; Multi-layer label automation: prepress for peel-off labels now supports adhesive-free zones, CLP/CHS compliance, and 3D visualization, powered by PACKZ and CLOUDFLOW. Hybrid Software sister companies Meteor Inkjet and Xitron will also be present at the booth, showcasing how Meteor’s high-speed PCC3-E print controller is built to handle demanding 1,200 DPI printheads with ease, and how Xitron’s Navigator and K2 workflows can deliver flexible, high-performance output.

Narrow web ink specialist Pulse is “Making Print Simple” at Labelexpo Europe 2025 as it challenges flexo printers to rethink how they work. Pulse will show solutions that turn production bottlenecks into revenue generators. Across the four days of the show, Pulse will highlight the changes and steps flexo label printers can implement to maximize throughput and increase their profits. Highlighted products include: PureTone inks – high-strength, single-pigment formulations that reduce errors and waste and make printing right the first time a reality; Bespoke ink mixing – hit your Delta E target and color match any job, on any press, at any location – all in record time; and Monolox – the fixed anilox printing system for spot colors that standardizes anilox selection, reduces the burden of changeovers, and increases press utilization while reducing waste.

Asahi Photoproducts will present its latest solutions for the label market, hosted at the Gallus partner booths 3E23 and 3E29. The company will highlight the AWP Ecosystem, a water-based flexographic plate processing solution that aligns with Asahi’s “Solvent Zero” strategy.” The AWP Ecosystem is designed to eliminate solvents and minimize resource consumption, delivering both environmental advantages and measurable gains in production efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). At the show, Asahi will outline its future direction by demonstrating the concept of the recently installed new AWP system using just water and no detergents in plate processing. Asahi will be showcasing print samples by a new FlatTop plate, which is developed to perform together with the latest screening and laser imaging technologies, aiming to meet the demands of high-end label and flexible packaging printers.

Lundberg Tech will unveil the new generation MatrixCompactor 160 – an efficient waste capturing system designed specifically for handling label matrix waste from one label press. At the show, visitors can learn how the waste handling system enhances production by capturing and compacting label matrix waste. This reduces the use of virgin materials, cuts transport-related CO₂ emissions, eliminates unnecessary disposal of paper cores, and eases physical strain on operators. With over 6,000 systems and 10,000 granulators installed worldwide, Lundberg Tech is an experienced partner in waste management. Its scalable, modular solutions are tailored to each customer’s needs – enabling clean, efficient, and operator-friendly production. Visitors are invited to explore the waste handling system and speak with Lundberg Tech’s experts about the potential ROI for both small and large label converters.

INX International will present a new proprietary technology platform alongside a lineup of advanced conventional inks, coatings, and digital solutions, all developed to meet the evolving needs of today’s packaging landscape. The conventional range includes INXFlex UV and LED flexographic inks available in both standard and low migration versions. Among the highlights is Genesis washable ink technology, a solvent-based ink system for shrink sleeve labels that supports a circular economy through improved recyclability. Also featured are INXScreen low migration UV screen inks, offering safe, high-quality solutions for food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical label applications across rotary and flatbed printing technologies. In the digital space, INX will present its INXJet portfolio, which includes a wide range of UV and water-based inks, as well as varnishes designed for applications in labels, flexible packaging, and digital embellishment. These products are compatible with the most widely adopted inkjet printing technologies, including Epson, Kyocera, Dimatix, and Seiko.
Glue Turret, Boxing and PalletizingLemuGroupBooth 4D29
LemuGroup will showcase several innovations at Labelexpo Europe, including the new 660mm GTU Glue turret, capable of producing rolls up to 400mm. It applies hot melt with a Nordson applicator, handles cores from 19 to 76mm, and reaches 250 m/m. The UltraCompact automates end-of-line operations, boxing and palletizing the finished product. LemuGroup also will present digital finishing equipment with an inkjet module for high-volume varnish applications without waste or tooling, and a digital stamping module that requires no primer or pre-varnish. Additionally, the LI 220 RFID will be on display with an integrated Voyantic inspection system. LemuGroup Connect, the company’s advanced Industry 4.0 platform, will demonstrate its powerful connectivity capabilities for real-time monitoring and data collection across the production lines.
Finishing and EmbellishmentCartesBooth 3D101
At Labelexpo Europe, Cartes will show seven pieces of equipment for converting and high-end embellishment finishing. Highlighted technology will include the Jet D-Screen combined with laser diecutting for digital converting. The Jet D-Screen module is designed to create outstanding labels enhanced by multi-layer effects, spot coating, complex tactile raise volumes and Braille printing, as well as detailed foiling and metallic doming transferring. The GT365WHSSR will also be on display. Based on the GT36O platform, it is configured with a semi-rotary flexo, hot stamping and flatbed silkscreen, and semi-rotary diecutting units. The machine combines seven units and specialty devices to embellish labels built by multiple layers aside from peel-off pre-cut windows. The configuration mixes conventional units with Cartes’ Jet D-Screen for high raised and metallic doming effects.
Unwind SplicersMartin AutomaticBooth 4D37
After a successful debut at Labelexpo Americas 2024, Martin Automatic will showcase two of its industry-leading MBS automatic unwind splicers at Labelexpo Europe 2025, anchoring the start of a fully automated production line that stretches across four collaborating booths. Martin will highlight two configurations of its MBS butt splicer, both feeding webs non-stop into an ETI Cohesio laminator. The first unwinder features the standard MBS layout, while the second features a 90-degree turn bar that shortens the inline footprint – an innovation especially valuable for space-constrained pressrooms. Both MBS machines can handle rolls up to 660mm (26″) in diameter and can run at speeds up to 250 m/m (820 fpm) for the standard configuration and 152 m/m (500 fpm) with the turn bar configuration, ensuring optimum performance on high-production lines. In preparation for the event, the full automation line will be assembled and tested at LemuGroup’s facility in Ibarra, Spain, offering label and packaging converters an exclusive opportunity to preview Martin’s unwinders before the show.

Among the products unveiled at the show will be what Bobst says is a breakthrough digital printing solution for labels, developed to boost production agility, unlock new applications and changing complex label production – all in a single pass. Based on the Bobst Digital Master series platform, Bobst says this industry-first, all-digital label solution is not to be missed by converters looking to diversify and add higher value for their customers.

EyeC will present solutions for automated print image inspection. Booth visitors will be able to experience the versatile portfolio for quality control at all stages of print production. A special focus will be on the latest developments in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the new Proofiler Graphic. EyeC will be presenting new AI-supported functions for the entire EyeC ProofRunner line. Thanks to intelligent AI-based defect classification based on image content, relevant defects can be detected, categorized, and filtered even more precisely, while at the same time increasing speed and reducing false positives. The new AI technology can be experienced live on the EyeC ProofRunner Web HighLight, installed on the ECOLINE RSH 340 from machine manufacturer ROTOCON. The high-performance system enables ultra-fast and precise 100% inline print inspection of labels and flexible packaging, even with web widths of up to 1,700mm.

Under the banner “Where ink meets intelligence,” GSE will showcase ink dispensing and software innovations that simplify ink workflows for packaging printers, resulting in efficient operations, shorter make-ready times, and a more responsive, compliant production environment. Highlights include a new software package called GSE Advanced reporting for automatic generation of ink usage and availability reports; a new manual ink dispenser intended for less frequent printing requirements; and an opportunity for booth visitors to digitally design and visualize their ideal ink workflow, using touchpads. GSE Ink manager (GIm) software empowers converters to work more efficiently with inks and also use data about their resources for better strategic decision-making. The software can track ink ingredients through non-linear workflow routes such as blending and press-return cycles that spot colors undergo. Also featured will be GSE’s modular Colorsat dispensing systems for achieving accurate, repeatable spot color quality, on-demand.
Sustainable FilmsInnovia FilmsBooth 3A34
Innovia Films will be showcasing its full range of relaunched labels that embrace the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle to support end-of-life recyclability. Featured products include CPE/WPE films, sustainable and economical alternatives to PE films in the home and personal care sector, where clear and white polyethylene label facestock films are commonly used. CPE and WPE films are approximately 40% thinner than polyethylene films, meaning labels can be much thinner and use fewer of the planet’s scarce fossil resources. Innovia says CPE also has outstanding clarity and very low haze compared to polyethylene, making it ideal for clear-on-clear applications on PET bottles. Coated and metallized label films produced in Europe and the Americas will also be on display. The new films are ideal for PS labeling in various markets, including food and drink, home and personal care, and healthcare. RayoFloat films will also be demonstrated. The thin, floatable shrink sleeve material detaches automatically during the recycling process, allowing it to be easily separated from the bottle in the sink/float stage.
Prepress software and hardwareEskoBooth 5D31, 5E31
Esko will present technologies that embrace cloud computing, AI, and SaaS. End-to-end Esko integrated solutions tackle the challenges of producing more at a faster pace while maintaining optimal quality and achieving sustainability objectives. The recently introduced CDI Quartz – now compatible with narrow web applications – will be one of the stars of the show, with visitors able to witness improved flexo print quality with their own eyes when evaluating printed samples at the Esko booth. Engineered for precision, the CDI Quartz produces exceptionally accurate, high-quality flexo plates that reduce ink consumption and deliver print results that rival, and often exceed, gravure standards. In addition, Esko will feature Esko WebCenter Pack – delivering complete packaging management specifically for converters, available now following its global launch at Esko World; and Esko Print Clone – a cloud-based color matching solution powered by AI. Print Clone intelligently reverse-engineers color profiles, significantly reducing trial and error and accelerating the color matching process.
Inks, Primers, coatingshubergroupBooth 4D19
At Labelexpo, hubergroup Print Solutions will exhibit its iray UV flexo series, a comprehensive system of primers, laminating adhesives, inks and varnishes designed to work together. Available for both food and non-food applications, the series encompasses a wide range of applications, including self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves, and pouches. Customers benefit from high scratch resistance, strong adhesion, low odor, and high yield. Booth visitors will also learn about hubergroup’s Hydro-X portfolio for water-based flexo and gravure printing. Thanks to its modular ink mixing system, which consists of concentrates, blends, and additives, Hydro-X enables tailor-made approaches across various packaging substrates, including paper, cardboard, aluminum, and plastic film. A highlight in this segment are the water-based barrier coatings, which improve the oxygen or water and grease resistance of mono-material packaging.
