As always, the show floor showcases equipment in action, and exhibitors representing every facet of the converting workflow and supply chain are highlighting the creativity and innovation driving the industry forward.

In the pages that follow, we spotlight some of the products that Labelexpo Europe attendees are encountering at the show. To learn about even more products and technologies, check out the L&NW Labelexpo Europe Product Preview in the July/August 2025 issue.

At Labelexpo Europe 2025, Avery Dennison is marking 90 years of “Making Possible” by showcasing how its materials science and digital identification solutions continue to unlock new value for customers across the value chain. The company’s exhibit is headlined by a keynote appearance from president and CEO Deon Stander and will feature products addressing today’s urgent business challenges. The booth also offers a look into the next decade of innovation, from advances in circular packaging and intelligent labels to products that will drive sustainability efficiency, shelf appeal, and performance. Through live demonstrations, visitors can see how innovations like label release technology make it possible to recycle and reuse materials more effectively, helping brands stay ahead of tightening legislation and rising consumer expectations. Innovations on display include AD CleanFlake for PET, AD CleanGlass for glass, AD CleanFiber for paper and cardboard, and film label solutions for HDPE. In addition, a dedicated retail zone is spotlighting packaging innovations designed to boost shelf appeal and drive consumer engagement, including the newest luxury materials from Avery Dennison’s Infinity and Sensorial Collections, as well as demos featuring RFID and NFC solutions.

Dantex is featuring its latest innovations in digital printing and flexographic plate processing. The booth is showing live demonstrations of the high-performance PicoJet digital UV inkjet press, highlighting its speed, precision, and reliability. Also featured is the newly developed PicoColour press, designed for increased flexibility and affordability, providing high-quality output in a compact footprint. Complementing the digital press lineup, Dantex is revealing its most advanced inline plate processing solution to date, the Aqua X. Engineered for use with Dantex’s Aquaflex plate range, Aqua X is a fully automatic, ultra-high-speed water-wash system that Dantex says sets new standards in sustainable, solvent-free flexographic processing. Experts from Dantex’s UK headquarters and subsidiaries in Germany, France, Poland, and Switzerland, together with representatives from key distributors, will be on-hand to offer advice and support.

ABG is presenting its latest innovation in digital finishing at Labelexpo with the launch of the new DigiLase, a laser finishing system featuring two laser beams instead of one, thereby doubling the cutting speed and increasing overall production efficiency. Already sold to a leading German customer, the DigiLase with dual lasers is being showcased live, offering a glimpse into the future of high-speed, automated digital finishing. ABG booth visitors can see a total of 10 machines in action, including two Digicon Series 3 lines – a 430mm version setup for premium embellishment, and a 350 model producing multi-layer labels. Other highlights include a 540mm wide converting line with ABG’s ASU, Converter and Vectra AutoSet turret rewinder, the Ti200 RFID inserter, and an SRI unit demonstrating slitting, rewinding, and inspection with advanced automation. Also on display is a Shrink Sleeve Seaming Rewinder, and a Booklet Machine with a Braille inkjet module. ABG technology is also being shown at the HP exhibit and includes the DigiLite and Digicon Series 3 along with Fast Track and Vectra AutoSet.

Labelexpo Europe visitors to the ACTEGA booth can view live demonstrations of ECOLEAF, ACTEGA’s on-demand metallization technology configured on a Gallus One digital press. The sustainable, metallic label embellishment, on-demand metallization technology is helping converters and brand owners reduce their carbon footprint while delivering eye-catching labels and packaging designs. Samples from industry leaders utilizing ECOLEAF technology to provide brands with stand-out labels are being highlighted at the ACTEGA booth, including from Reynders and All4Labels. ACTEGA’s partnership with All4Labels extends to another product within the company’s STAR Portfolio – Signite.  Developed by ACTEGA, Signite is a decoration technology combining patented sustainable solutions and state-of-the-art application machinery. The decoration solution for glass and PET and aluminum containers is making its Labelexpo Europe debut and is exclusively available through All4Labels in Europe, South and Central America under the STARDIRECT brand. It delivers approximately 30% lower Global Warming Potential (GWP 100, kg CO2 eq.) than similarly sized pressure sensitive labels or shrink sleeves, due to the reduced substrates required to create the no-label look without diecutting or the need to dispose of label matrix waste. ACTEGA says converters can produce over 40% more Signite labels per roll, reducing label shipping costs and changeover times.

GEW is introducing several new technology advancements at Labelexpo Europe. The company is presenting its air-cooled AeroLED2 UV LED curing system, which was launched at Labelexpo Americas in 2024, alongside its highest power, water-cooled LeoLED2 system. AeroLED2 is GEW’s next-generation UV LED system for full cure, printing, coating and converting applications up to 70cm wide. Also being featured is OxyGuard, GEW’s next generation oxygen control system, which can rapidly achieve and maintain the optimal curing atmosphere for low odor, low migration production, siliconization and other high performance curing applications. Ambient oxygen reduces the effectiveness of UV curing in many inks and coatings. The OxyGuard system can be used to overcome this by controlling oxygen at the point of curing, exactly where the ink or coating is exposed to UV light. Inert gas is used to purge the curing chamber of oxygen and maintain a target oxygen level during production runs. OxyGuard features closed loop control, which automatically maintains this oxygen level to a customer set point (measured in parts per million), and ensures this set point is not exceeded. The OxyGuard system adapts the input of inert gas accordingly, regardless of machine running speed. OxyGuard can be retrofitted on existing nitrogen systems and is compatible with all GEW curing lamps, whether UV Arc or LED.

Domino is unveiling its latest digital printing innovations, including the new compact Domino N410 LED label press. Live demonstrations are showcasing the N410 LED label press, Domino’s N730i and N610i digital label presses, as well as K600i and K300 monochrome inkjet printers. Domino says the N410 LED label press allows converters to take their first step into digital printing and benefit from its flexibility with low running costs. Visitors to Labelexpo Europe can also experience Domino’s N730i Integration Module in action for the first time, integrating with a Grafotronic DCL2 to form a hybrid solution. Equipped with priming, spot varnish, diecutting, and slitting stations, it is being presented in the Domino-Grafotronic Hybrid Arena (booth 3G85), producing high-quality printed and finished labels. In addition, Labelexpo marks the official release of the latest version of Domino’s Sunrise DFE, bringing productivity improvements to label converters with new ripping technology that uses AI and machine learning and increases the efficiency of press output.
