Released By PRINTING United Alliance + Expo

PRINTING United Expo has emerged as one of the industry’s can’t-miss trade shows. Attendees have the opportunity to see the entire printing industry in one place, where they can experience over a million square feet of equipment, solutions, and information on the latest trends.

To discuss the value of the show and what embellishment technologies will be on display, L&NW spoke with Allan Quimby, head of marketing, KURZ Transfer Products, LP.

L&NW: PRINTING United Expo continues to grow as a label show. What aspects are a particular draw for you to be an exhibitor in 2025?

AQ: Just as PRINTING United celebrates “all things print,” KURZ embraces a similarly comprehensive approach. Our transfer products, embellishment technologies, and equipment solutions are used across a wide spectrum of printing applications—from sheet-fed folding cartons and roll-to-roll labels to direct mail, digital decoration, and both sheet and narrow web markets. You’ll find KURZ technologies in action throughout the show: on customer jobs, integrated with partner equipment, and featured prominently in our own booth.

MPRINT, part of the KURZ Group, shares this expansive focus. Their advanced digital printing systems are designed for the sheet, label, and direct mail segments, as well as direct-to-part printing, offering high-speed digital printing and late-stage customization capabilities. These systems are frequently integrated with both conventional and digital printing or finishing technologies, providing maximum flexibility for modern production environments.

L&NW: For those not familiar, can you explain the relationship between KURZ and MPRINT, and what the booth layout will look like given the relationship?

AQ: KURZ and MPRINT maintain a close, collaborative relationship as part of the KURZ Group—merging KURZ’s global leadership in decorative and functional transfer technologies with MPRINT’s innovation in digital printing systems. This powerful partnership enables the seamless integration of digital embellishment and high-performance printing for labels, packaging, and beyond—delivering fully integrated decoration solutions with exceptional flexibility, quality, and sustainability.

At the booth, visitors will experience the complete spectrum of KURZ’s capabilities, including traditional transfer foil technologies, advanced software tools, interactive digital embellishment demonstrations, and two state-of-the-art digital printing presses. One press will feature full-color digital printing, while the other will offer a single-color option, both enhanced with KURZ metallic effects and integrated security features—showcasing the next level of design, functionality, and brand protection.

L&NW: What products will you be exhibiting at PRINTING United Expo 2025?

AQ: KURZ will be showcasing our extensive portfolio of metallic, pigmented, and holographic transfer foils—innovative solutions widely adopted across the printing, packaging, and label industries to elevate shelf appeal and brand presence. In addition to our decorative foils, we’ll be demonstrating Dreamcomposer, our powerful 3D visualization software developed to help customers, brand owners, and designers create high-quality product renderings using KURZ finishes and materials.

We’re also excited to unveil our new 3D Digital Embellishment Demonstration Tool, a hands-on experience developed by the KURZ Digital Embellishment Team. This cutting-edge display will simulate the application of our digital transfer foil solutions for both sheet-fed and roll-to-roll platforms, offering a deeper look into the possibilities of digital print enhancement.

At the core of everything we do is sustainability, from thinner carrier films and reduced material waste to recyclable decorations and energy-efficient solutions, KURZ is committed to helping brands meet their environmental goals without compromising on design or performance.

MPRINT will show its MJETeco, the entry-level digital printing system for late-stage customization or single-color VDP label printing, as well as its brand new 13” wide MCUBE full color UV inkjet integration module mounted to a standard slitter-rewinder to showcase its flexibility and ultracompact footprint.

L&NW: Why is PRINTING United Expo a must-attend event for your customers and audience?

AQ: PRINTING United covers all aspects of the print industry, from labels, packaging, commercial, and wide-format to direct mail, embellishment, and finishing—perfectly aligning with KURZ and MPRINT’s cross-segment capabilities. KURZ technologies are widely adopted by OEMs and print partners at the show, allowing attendees to experience the value of KURZ decoration on multiple platforms—not just at the KURZ/MPRINT booth.

With a growing focus on eco-conscious printing, KURZ is leading the way with thinner, recyclable transfer products and digital solutions that reduce waste—something attendees are increasingly seeking in today’s market.

The event provides customers, prospects, influencers, and brand owners with a unique opportunity to experience our solutions in action, from initial concept and design to full-scale commercialization. It reinforces KURZ and MPRINT’s positions as industry leaders in innovative print decoration and digital embellishment technologies, delivering complete, end-to-end solutions that drive quality, creativity, and efficiency.
