BW Papersystems introduces SpeedLiner X
The SpeedLiner X has been engineered to meet the demands of RFID converting at an industrial scale.
BW Papersystems, a global leader in converting and finishing solutions, launched its latest innovation, the SpeedLiner X, at Labelexpo Europe 2025.
This new radio frequency identification converting machine redefines industry standards by delivering up to 25% higher annual output compared to conventional systems, the company states. The product also offers scalability, efficiency, ease of use, and precision.
“With the RFID market expanding at over 30% annually, converters worldwide are under pressure to increase throughput, improve reliability, and scale efficiently,” comments Felix Waniek, strategic product manager, BW Papersystems. “The SpeedLiner X is a game-changer. With up to four tracks, it delivers unmatched throughput, allowing you to produce more — faster. Automated inlay reel changes eliminate manual interruptions, and automated doctoring ensures every detail is spot-on. This machine is all about efficiency and reliability.”
Plus, the SpeedLiner X has been engineered to meet the demands of RFID converting at an industrial scale. It supports up to four tracks for simultaneous production, enabling converters to dramatically increase output. It can process four by 1,500 inlays per minute with multiple attaching units, too, delivering enhanced speed. Additionally, its automated inlay reel changes and automated doctoring help reduce downtime and eliminate manual interruptions.
“Built for high performance, the SpeedLiner X brings together speed, scalability, and flexibility like never before,” says Bernard Niemöller, sales executive, BW Papersystems. “With smart features like auto get-ready, auto sync and auto register, it practically runs itself — saving you time and hassle. Its intuitive human-machine interface and advanced assistance systems let operators set up and control the machine with minimal training. Quick changeovers and straightforward maintenance ensure your operations remain smooth and productive. Plus, its upgrade-friendly design means it grows with your business, delivering long-term value you can count on.”
Customer Success
In addition to the machine’s high level of performance, BW Papersystems reinforces its commitment to customer success with a robust global service network, ensuring long-term reliability.
“Service and support are integral to the SpeedLiner X,” states Dominik Maier, team leader, Technical Service, BW Papersystems. “From training to on-site assistance, we’re here to ensure your machine operates at its best. Designed for easy transportation and installation, the SpeedLiner X ensures global accessibility.”
As RFID adoption continues to accelerate across retail, logistics, healthcare and industrial supply chains, manufacturers need solutions that can scale with demand, as well.
“Flexibility is key with the SpeedLiner X,” adds Govert Beurskens, sales executive, BW Papersystems. “Its modular design allows you to configure the machine to meet your production needs, now and in the future. Need multitrack capabilities or additional attachers? The SpeedLiner X scales effortlessly.”
BW Papersystems also positioned the SpeedLiner X as part of its broader strategy to drive sustainable, high-performance RFID solutions. For example, the machine’s integrated RFID technology ensures every inlay is applied with pinpoint precision, reducing waste and maximizing yields.
“At BW Papersystems, we’ve been at the forefront of innovation in the paper and converting industries for decades,” says Thomas Arlit, managing director, Germany, BW Papersystems. “With the SpeedLiner X, we are bringing that same spirit of innovation into RFID converting. This machine combines our experience with cutting-edge technology to deliver a sustainable solution with higher output, a smaller footprint and lower carbon dioxide emissions.”
