Kocher+Beck touts expanded product range at Labelexpo Europe
Kocher+Beck highlighted its latest products, reinforcing its role as a strategic partner for the printing and diecutting industry.
Kocher+Beck, a global supplier of advanced solutions for diecutting and converting, brought its newest products to Labelexpo Europe 2025. Kocher+Beck highlighted its latest products, reinforcing its role as a strategic partner for the printing and diecutting industry.
In an environment characterized by pressure toward greater sustainability, efficiency and adaptability, the label industry is evolving rapidly. Kocher+Beck has been at the forefront of this change, anticipating new market demands through continuous investment in R&D, automation, and digitalization.
Technological advances in presses, combined with the growing use of ultra-thin, recyclable and environmentally friendly substrates, are transforming the way labels are produced. This transformation requires diecutting tools capable of delivering micrometric precision, operational stability at high speeds, and flexibility in the face of the challenges posed by modern materials.
At the same time, growing demand for more customized solutions from brands and converters is driving manufacturers to seek technology partners who not only offer quality products but also adaptability, specialized technical support, and environmental commitment.
“Barcelona represented a new beginning for Labelexpo, and we were excited to be part of this stage with a proposal that combines technology, sustainability, and a vision for the future,” says Kocher+Beck management.
On display
At Labelexpo Barcelona, Kocher+Beck touted an expanded range of solutions. The booth was designed as an interactive demonstration space and forum for technical dialog. Among the featured products were:
GapMaster EM (Electronic Move)
An evolution of the renowned GapMaster system, now equipped with a high-precision servo-driven system. This device allows separation adjustments from 0.25 to 10 microns using a rotary knob with direct feedback on the HMI screen. Operators can view the impact of the adjustment on the cutting result in real time, thus optimizing quality without interrupting the process. In addition, its modular design is ready for future upgrades to Industry 4.0 environments. This ensures longevity and scalability.
Variable Gap System (VGS)
The VGS represents a real breakthrough in gap adjustment technology, with a completely linear mechanism that eliminates horizontal deviations. Adjustment can be made manually or electronically, even synchronised with the magnetic cylinders. This move allows constant pressure management and repeatability, regardless of operating conditions.
New materials and processes
In addition to its diecutting technology, Kocher+Beck is showcasing important innovations in other key areas:
New generation non-stick coatings have been designed specifically for flexible dies. These coatings offer outstanding performance by reducing the build-up of adhesive residues on the cutting edges. They are certified for use in highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceutical, medical and food. In addition, the coatings comply with the most stringent food contact and safety regulations.
KMS pressure system: the latest version of the KMS incorporates smart sensors and connectivity with advanced production systems. This digital pressure system has been redesigned to offer greater stability under variable loads, too. This is an increasingly important requirement in high-speed production lines.
Plus, the TecScreen processing unit has been optimized to include water storage and recycling. This not only improves operational efficiency but also demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to more sustainable manufacturing processes.
